Brother Francis of the Child Jesus was born in 1972 in Lithuania, under Soviet occupation. He became a Brother of St. John in 1993, and was ordained as a priest in 2003. He's a part of the Denver Priory of the Brothers of Saint John in Colorado, where taught at the Saint John Institute until spring 2019. He studied theology and philosophy at Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania and in France at the Institute of the Brothers of Saint John "Ecole Saint Jean" .

In 2018 he earned a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Seton Hall University where he served as a Campus Minister. His thesis served as a basis his book "The Theological Landscape of Middle Earth: On Theology in J.R.R. Tolkien's Fantasy". Starting Fall 2019, with the permission of his religious superiors, he begins an eremitical life at Regina Caeli Hermitage in the foothills near Littleton, CO. He has published a book of meditations on the Stations of the Cross "The Power of God and Wisdom of God" in Lithuanian and French in 2011. It's currently being translated into English with a hopeful release by Lent 2020.
